Impresario Welch, who has written for “VICE,” “Columbia Journalism Review” and “Oxford American,” organized a book signing as well as a night of entertainment with appearances byLuckyLou, MC Know One, Boyfriend, Mc Infinite I (who just won best hip-hop award from OffBeat for his band, Jealous Monk), the Billsbury Flowboy, Able Chris, andSlangston Hughes’ new band, MadFro.
